Head Injury Hotline

Misson and activities:

Founded in 1985 Head Injury Hotline offers a wealth of information, creative solutions and leadership on issues related to brain injury. BIRC provides a setting where visitors can build skills, join discussion groups, link to resources, rehab, and research sites, as well as lay and professional journals.

Our non governmental, non-profit, organization works at the international level.

We consider ourselves as part of the international Independent Living and Disability Rights Movement.

Our organization is 100% run, controlled and represented by disabled people.

We have expertise, or are interested in cooperating with other organizations, in the areas of:

Awareness raising.
Coalition building and networking.
Peer support.
Self-advocacy.
Case management

We have traineeships or volunteer positions that people with disabilities are welcome to apply for.
