ABILIS

Misson and activities:

ABILIS is a foundation with the purpose of giving small seed funds to projects of disabled people in developing countries.

Our non governmental, non-profit, organization works at the international level.

We consider ourselves as part of the international Independent Living and Disability Rights Movement.

Our organization is 100% run, controlled and represented by disabled people.

We have expertise, or are interested in cooperating with other organizations, in the areas of:

Employment.
Independent Living Skills Training.
International development and disability.
Legislation.
Media work.
Peer support.
Sexuality and relationships.
Women and disability.
ABILIS focus to fund projects, in which the role of disabled people essential. Disabled people are involved in planning and implemention of the project. Themes in which ABILIS is most interested are Human Rights of People with Disabilities, Independent Living and Disabled Women, Income generating projects.
