Privacy and data protection policy for the Independent Living Institute

This is the  Independent Living Institutes' (ILI) privacy and data protection policy that decribes what we do with your personal information on our websites and in our projects.

ILI is responsible for your personal data , our organisation number is  802017-5090.

ILI has a shared IT system. In some cases projects and websites belonging to ILI have their own polices. ILI and our staff are required to respect the personal data and privacy of others and must ensure that appropriate protection and security measures are taken against unlawful or unauthorised processing of personal data, and against the accidental loss of, or damage to personal data.

An appropriate level of data security must be deployed for the type of data and the data processing being performed. Personal data must be stored in appropriate systems.  ILI must ensure that data processed by external processors, for example, cloud services including storage, websites etc. are compliant with this policy and the relevant legislation

At utskick.assistanskoll.se  personal data (email, name, organisation) recorded by the swedish language newsletters can be self managed (Assistanskolls nyhetsbrev,  lagensomverktyg.se nyhetsbrev samt patips.se nyhetsbrev). Disabled Refugees Welcome ..

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site  (independentliving.org)  may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. On this site we have embedded content from Youtube, javascript for statistics from Google analytics and javascript from Readspeaker. We may embed images from other ILI websites that we control.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

This website uses cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies so that we can track site usage and embedded website content can also set cookies. You can turn off cookies in your web browser settings. We recommend the  "Network Advertising Initiative opt-out" for opting out of individual cookies.

Who we share your data with

We don't share your personal data outside of our organisation unless a legal requirement demands it or you have consented to the sharing for a specific purpose. On some of our wordpress websites: fashionfreaks.se, patips.se and disabledrefugeeswelcome.se visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase or correct any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
