  • Projektet Disabled Refugees Welcome har beviljats stöd av Arvsfonden (sidan på svenska)

6 April 2017.  The Swedish Inheritance Fund yesterday approved funding of 8.4 million SEK to the Independent Living Institute  project Disabled Refugees Welcome.

The project Disabled Refugees Welcome will improve the reception of refugees who have disabillities and the coordination of services provided to refugees .

The project will develop, test and spread a process in  cooperation will government services, civil society organsations and individuals that work with refugees. This cooperation will ensure that people with disabilities are aware of the support that is available to them and that they get the proper support in a timely manner.

The project aims to both document the needs of refugees with disabilities and to develop systems to improve the reception of refugees.
