Tips

In this part of the web site you will find tips on how to alter pattern and bought clothes, fabrics with qualities that suit special situations, aids that are sewn into clothes or not, and everything else we find that could be useful.

During the project period we tried to gather as many tips we could find. We asked around, interviewed, posed impertinent questions and read everything we could lay our hands on. And we were both surpised and disappointed. there does not seem to be very many tips out there. Or have we got it wrong?

Maybe you know a good tip you want to share with others. Send it in and we will present it here.

Some of the tips we received are integrated into the patterns, maybe not the tips exactly as we recived it but the function it had. We have tried to focus on simple patterns and tips so as not to intimidate those who have less experience of sewing. Of course, you can alter the patterns into a multitude of garment. Here are some examples of such alterations.
