Is there any charge for using this service?

No. This service is completely free. On the other hand, we give no guarantees. If you find someone who you would like to exchange homes with, it is up to you to arrange the exchange yourself. The Vacation Home Exchange only provides the contacts, not the arrangements.

How long will my ad stay on the Website?

Ads are automatically removed from the Website after 90 days unless extended. Users my extent the period to a maximum of 90 days at any time and continue to do so for an unlimited time. A reminder is automatically send to the user's e-mail address when only 10 days remain before the expiry date. Note that expiration notices are only sent to the e-mail address given in the user account, which may be a different address than the one given in the ad.

Can I change my e-mail address?

Yes, logged in users can change their e-mail address under the "Edit" tab in the "My account" section. The "My account" link is in the box with links specific to your account that appears in the upper left after logging in.

I do not have an e-mail address. Can I post an ad anyway?

Yes, if someone with a valid e-mail address registers for you or lets you use their user name and password. A valid e-mail address is needed to register. However, once registered an e-mail address is not required to login nor post entries. You do not need to enter an e-mail address to post your ad, though if you do not give an e-mail address it will be more difficult to contact you. If you do not give an e-mail address, you must provide another way for people to contact you, e.g. telephone, fax or street address, which can be added in the "Other information" box.

Can I edit the ad I just posted?

Yes. If you want to make revisions, login, navigate to your entry and click on the "Edit" tab. Once you login, a box with links specific to your account appears in the upper left. Included is a "My entries" link which goes directly to your entries.

Can HTML tags be used?

HTML may only be used in the "Other information" box at the bottom of the form. "Filtered HTML" is allowed by default. To use Full HTML, click on the "Input format" link and choose Full HTML." More information about formatting options.

Why didn't my ad show up?

Perhaps you did not submit your ad after it was previewed. In that case, backup your browser to the preview and scroll to the bottom and click "Submit." Otherwise, if the entry does not appear after your browser is reloaded and the cache cleared, then you will have to re-submit the entry.

What software was used to make the Vacation Home Exchange application?

The Vacation Home Exchange was made with the content management system Drupal, www.drupal.org.
