Bear in Mind

Misson and activities:

Bear in Mind is a self-advocacy and community education group for people with acquired/traumatic brain injury.
We aim to:
* support people with ABI/TBI to develop skills and self-confidence; empower people to speak on their own behalf
* develop community awareness about the issues faced by people with ABI/TBI

Our organization works at the national level.

Our organization is 100% run, controlled and represented by disabled people.

We have expertise, or are interested in cooperating with other organizations, in the areas of:

Awareness raising.
Coalition building and networking.
Computers and disability.
Education and vocational training.
Media work.
Peer support.
Research.
Self-advocacy.
Acquired/traumatic brain injury
Acquired/traumatic brain injury.
The areas of expertise listed above are the areas Bear in Mind focuses on as a group. We are, however, a diverse and skilled group-- and individuals within the group have expertise in many of the other areas listed above
