We have recently published a 89 page Personal Assistance Services Guide. This guide was developed to help people with disabilities successfully find, fund, train, and manage personal assistance services. This extensive, illustrated guide takes the reader through all the steps of defining needs, creating checklists, recruiting, advertising, interviewing, negotiating, setting up contracts, paying taxes, training, supervising, taking corrective action, locating potential funding sources, and accessing assistive technology for daily living.

There are examples of checklists, contracts and other forms which can be photocopied. The goal of this guide is to enhance consumer control and knowledge of personal assistance services, resulting in increased independence and a higher quality of life.
