The ILI list of disability organizations was started in 1997. Hundreds of disability NGOs and many other organizations registered their goals, expertise and a desire to cooperate. The intention was that organizations with similar goals would read about each other, then contact each other and start cooperating. We hope that this happened!

Now we think that it would be inspirational and of much greater benefit if disability NGOs were to cooperate and discuss common issues in a public forum. So we are signing up all the organizations that have registered with us and inviting them to take part in this discussion.

Hi Philip

It's Sue here from Brisbane Australia.

I think it would be wonderful if we could start to publicise any training or study available overseas and perhaps even investigate the opportunities for exchange students/workers/

What do others think?

Regards

Sue

Hi Sue

I can only agree with you. At ILI we are doing what we can to publicise available training and study overseas here: (feedback on this is welcome)

When it comes to exchange we are hoping that organizations of people with disabilities and their members will show some enthusiasm for exchanges between organizations  because we think that the knowledge gained would also benefit the disability rights movement in general.
