When you have finished sewing a garment there usually is a lot of leftovers. It is bigger or smaller pieces of fabric, hooks and clasps, half-used rolls of threads in strange colours, etc. etc. We do not throw away much. Most of the leftovers end up in the could-be-useful-someday pile.

This part of the site is Fashion Freaks' could-be-useful-someday pages. Here you can find photos, columns and a little bit of everything.

You are very welcome to contribute with your sewing-leftovers. We would love to publish pictures of clothes sewn after Fashion Freaks patterns, especially clothes made for special occasions. Columns about your trial and errors are also welcome, if they have any connection to Fashion Freaks.

Send your contribution to fashionfreaks@independentliving.org

The pattern for pants was tested on guys and girls from RBU (Swedish Disability NGO). It turned into a small adventure involving bleaching, colouring, sandpaper etc.

The same pattern can result in two totally different garments. Here we show an example using the pattern for a women's raglan jacket with curved back, sewn in two very different styles.
